Click Drop Down Links

This is a variation of the navigation shown on the previous page. Instead of linking to pages of the site, links to external pages or files can be created with the option to open them in a new window.
For example, the links could be to open a bunch of PDFs. To do this, drag a file into the EverWeb Assets List, control (right) click it and select "Copy Relative File Path". Paste this into the URL box in the widget settings.
Files can also be downloaded to the visitors desktop when the link is clicked by dragging in a zip of the file and linking to it. Click option 3 in the above example to see how the file download works.

Widget Settings

The widget settings are shown to the right. Select the required web safe font family and set its size, color, vertical padding and background color for the navigation heading or directory name.
NOTE: The padding should be increased for use on mobile devices to give a large enough target for fingertips.
Set the font color, background color and separator color for the drop down section.
Enter the navigation heading text in the first box and the file path in the second.
Check the box to open the link in a new window if required.
NOTE: The first three items are obligatory. Subsequent items are added as required and the box checked to display them.
Before publishing the page, select the widget and bring it to the front using the Arrange menu.
Navigation blocks can be stacked vertically. In this case, the lower ones should be brought to the front before the ones above it so that they will all have the correct z-index.
