CSS3 Multiple Columns

Auto Text Column Widget

CSS3 allows us to create newspaper style text columns which will wrap from the bottom of the first column to the top of the second column and so on through the columns until all the space is filled. Before you get excitied about using this, it should be noted that this will only work in modern browsers which fully support CSS3. This means that it is NOT supported by Internet Explorer V9 and lower. This widget uses the column count which is the number of columns, the column gap which is the gap between them and the column rule. The rule is a vertical line between the columns. This can be dispensed width by making its with zero. It does not use the column width property since this will adjust automatically for a given number of columns when the widget width is adjusted using the drag handles or the Metrics inspector. As can be seen from the screenshot of the widget settings, the text can be typed or pasted into the box. Use the XHTML for a line break
and two of them to create a paragraph break like this

Enter the number of columns required and the gap between them.
If a rule is not required, set the width to zero. Otherwise choose a width, type and color.
Choose a web safe font, size and color for the text.
